Official Sun Bowl Pavilion Rental Rules and Guidelines

​

  • The Sun Bowl facilities & amenities are open to the public on a first-come first-serve  basis unless reserved ahead of time.

​

 

  • The Pavilion may not be held without a receipt from the VFMA Board.​

 

  • Payment for rental permits can be made by cash or check made payable to VFMA.

 

  • The rental fee is $150 for non-VFMA members and free for current VFMA members.

 

  • A digital copy of the rental permit/approval email should be in your possession during the event and should be presented if another group is using the rental during your permitted time.

 

  • The person signing this registration on behalf of the above group assumes personal liability for breakage, destruction, or removal of park property by any member of the group.

 

  • Except for small family gatherings, a Certificate of Insurance listing Valley Forge Mountain Association as additionally insured is required for rentals.

  • The Sun Bowl is located in Tredyffrin Township and all rules are based on Tredyffrin Township Ordinances.

 

  • NO DRIVING OR PARKING on the grass. Parking is permitted along the street.

 

  • No events will be permitted to operate prior to 8:00 AM and must conclude no later than 10:00 PM. Actual times for the event must be approved as part of the approval process.

 

  • Music or PA Systems are permitted between noon and 10:00 PM.

 

  • Pets are permitted but must remain on a leash and all waste is to be picked up.

 

  • You are permitted to bring your own grill to the Sun Bowl. The grills may NOT be set up in the Pavilion or near anything that could catch on fire. If you are using charcoal, the coals are to be taken with you and not disposed of in the trash cans. No smoking is allowed in or around the Pavilion. 

 

  • Decorations are to be hung with painters’ tape, no staples, nails, or tacks. All decorations are to be removed at the conclusion of your event and disposed of properly. If you move tables from under the Pavilion please return them at the conclusion of your event.

 

  • The Pavilion must be cleaned of any debris at the conclusion of the event. Set-up/clean-up/removal of trash/ decorations will be the responsibility of the group. Trash cans are located at the entrance to the park. Please include clean-up in your requested time.
