The Valley Forge Mountain Association, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation. The purpose of the Association is to foster and promote the improvement of the Valley Forge Mountain community and to encourage and maintain an active and continuing interest and participation in the civic, governmental, educational, cultural and social affairs of Schuylkill and Tredyffrin Townships, Chester County, Pennsylvania to the mutual advantage of the members of the Association. It shall also be the purpose of the Association to promote friendliness and cooperation among the residents of the Valley Forge Mountain community, and to provide a happy and healthful atmosphere for the members and their families.

The Association owns approximately 2.5 acres of land on Horseshoe Trail of which one half is in the form of a playground called the Sun Bowl. Currently swings, rocking toys, a sliding board, merry-go-round, and a basketball/volleyball court are in use. The maintenance of this land, taxes, and insurance constitute the major portion of the Association's financial obligations. These and the other operating costs of the Association are met by annual dues paid by each family.
